Isiama Community speaks, passes vote of confidence on Uzodinma, Eze Ohanweh

Warns against acts inimical to peace, unity 

 

The people of Isiama Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, last Tuesday, passed “a vote of absolute confidence on Governor Hope Uzodinma” and their traditional ruler and Obi Gburugburu of Isiama, HRM, Eze (Dr)Oliver Ohanweh, JP. The community also congratulated the Governor on the celebration of the first year anniversary of his second tenure in Office as Governor of Imo State.

In a communique issued at the end of a joint meeting between the Isiama Council of Chiefs and the Eze-in-Council, the community described their traditional ruler, Eze Ohanweh as ” a charismatic, dynamic, peaceful and accommodating monarch.” They posited that Eze Ohanweh is a selfless leader and bridge builder, assuring him of the “unflinching support and loyalty of the good people of Isiama Community at all times.”

The communique signed by Chief Louis Ukanwa, a retired Permanent Secretary in Imo State and Chairman, Isiama Council of Chiefs, Chiefs Vincent Ezenwa and Eugene Uzoka, representing Umukaku and Umuihim villages respectively and Chief kevin Ihekwoaba, the Palace Secretary on behalf of the Eze-in-Council, also eulogized Governor Uzodinma for his “unparalleled and even socioeconomic and infrastructural development of all sectors and geopolitical zones in Imo State.”

The communique further reaffirmed the community’s “implicit support and cooperation for the President General of Isiama Community, Mr Emeka Iwunze and urged him to remain steadfast and focused in the discharge of his lawful duties as President General of Isiama Community.”

The joint session of Isiama Council of Chiefs and Eze-in-Council, according to the communique, cautioned ” rumour rumour mongers and meddlesome interlopers to steer clear of Isiama Community,” reiterating that “any act or utterance capable of encouraging or spreading falsehood in the Community is reprehensible and stands condemned totally without reservations.”

The communique equally cautioned against acts capable of suggesting disharmony in Isiama Community, positing that “Isiama people are peace loving and accommodating and do not intend to compromise that for any selfish reasons whatsoever.”
