An indigene of Amawom Village in Owerri Municipal Council of Imo State, Engr Kelechi Opara, has offered education grants to aid final students of Owerre Nchi Ise studying in tertiary institutions of learning.
According to information from Oha B.C. Opara and Dr Barr S.B. Chikwe, who are members of the screening committee, the grant is exclusively for final year students studying Medicine, Nursing or Engineering for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Engr Opara, who also awarded the grants to some students last year, is doing this as part of his Human Capacity Development Projects for 2024/2025.
It will be recalled that the following students received the grants for 2023/2024 academic year: Kamalu Godspower O (Umuororonjo Village – FUTO, Dept: Prosthetics/Orthotics), Benedict U. Ekwucha (Amawom Village – IMSU, Dept: Psychology), Chizaram K. Nwagbaraocha (Umuororonjo Village -FUTO, Dept: Agricultural Economics) and Stephen C. Osuji (Amawom Village – IMSU, Dept: Mass Communication).
