◼️Storms Eyirieyi Obohia Festival
The former Governor of Imo State, The Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, KSC, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, joined other dignitaries, friends, community, and family members in the funeral rites of two prominent personalities: Elder Godwin Ndukaire Ariguzo of Umuaghara Onitcha and Chief Adindu Solo Anosike in Obizi, both of Ezinihitte Local Government Area, Imo State.
The late Ariguzo, popularly known as DEE GOD, was the father of Dr. Emeka Ariguzo, who supervised Imo Transportation Corporation (ITC) activities during Ihedioha’s short-lived seven-month reign. Senator Bright Nwanne and Hon. Innocent Ikpamezie were also in attendance at the event.
Ihedioha equally paid a condolence visit to the residence of Chief Adindu Solomon Anosike to commiserate with the widow, Lolo Nora Solo Anosike, over the death and burial of her husband.
Prior to the visit to the Adindus, Ihedioha made a brief stopover at the residence of the President General of Ezurezu Mbaise, Surv. Joe Anosike, also to mourn with him. The late Adindu and Joe are related.
Finally, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives attended the annual cultural festival, Eyirieyi Obohia, in Obohia, Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, to felicitate with the people at the residence of Chief Iyke Eze (Duke of Obohia) and later at Prince Obolobo’s Compound.
Dignitaries who accompanied His Excellency Ihedioha included the member representing Ahiazu, Ezinihitte Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Chinedu, Chief Richmond Osuji, Chief Ben Mere, Nze Law Biaduo, Engr. Emeka Nwokeke (Iroko), Chief Chinemerem Madu, Barr. Kissinger Ikokwu, Sir Ori Martins, Mrs. Olaedo Onyinyechi Ike-Godson, Chief Udochukwu Nwaogu (CEO Vintage Interiors), Chief Obiora Nwachukwu, and Chief Innocent Owulali (CEO Ike-Leads).
