The Deputy Governor of Imo state, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, PhD, has assured Imolites that local government administration in the state is aimed at the speedy development of rural communities, promising that the shared prosperity administration of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma is on course to make the state better and fulfil the shared aspirations of Ndi Imo.
The Deputy Governor stated this on Thursday, at Mbaitoli Council headquarters, Nwaorieubi, during the verification exercise of the strength of the Executives of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the local government by the Hon (Sir). Macdonald Ebere’s led State APC team.
Addressing a cross section of the party faithful, the Deputy Governor acknowledged the commitment of Mbaitoli APC faithful to the affairs of the party and state government, assuring more grassroots development that will guarantee economic revitalisation and a better welfare for all.
She also praised the visionary leadership of the Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, describing him as an action Governor, who is committed to bringing infrastructural development and economic emancipation to the people.
Speaking on the strength of the APC in Mbaitoli, the Deputy Governor who is from the local government area, stated that the party is stronger and better positioned now than ever, adding that Ndi Mbaitoli is unwavering in their support and commitment to the party, while stressing that Mbaitoli is fully APC.
The Deputy Governor also ceased the opportunity to commend the charismatic leadership of the state party Chairman, Hon (Sir). MacDonald Ebere, PhD. She thanked him for leading the party to many electoral victories, most especially, the overwhelming gubernatorial election triumph and the sweeping local government election success.
She however, encouraged the State Chairman, who she described as an amazing and erudite scholar to remain strong, objective and focused in driving the party to more resounding successes.
In the same vein, she also appreciated other leaders of the party, including, her husband, His Excellency Chief (Barr) Chukwuma Ekomaru, SAN, the Mbaitoli Council Chairman, Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo, the former APC State Chairman and Mbaitoli Apex Leader of the party, Prince Marcellinus Nlemigbo, the House member representing Mbaitoli in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. (Engr). Innocent Ikpamezie, as well as the Executive Secretary, National Assembly Library Trust Fund, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, Chairman of IROMA, Hon. (Barr). Kingsley Ononuju, Special Adviser to the Governor on Regional Integration and Corporation, and other prominent leaders present at the meeting, without forgetting the members of Mbaitoli Legislative Council, led by Rt. Hon. Frank Onyeji.
The State party Chairman, Dr Macdonald Ebere thanked the Deputy Governor for coming, wishing her well in her state responsibilities as the number two citizen of the state and assured her of a stronger APC with more successful outings.
It is expected that the verification exercise of the strength of the party executives both at the ward and local government levels will revalidate party membership, expose defected and departed members and reposition the party better, stronger and more focused on the struggle for better days ahead.
