Governorship candidate of PDP in Imo State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu in company of his running mate, Rt Hon Jones Onyereri today, visited the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Ikeduru state constituency in the just concluded 2023 election, Hon Barr Sunny Unachukwu to commiserates with him and his siblings over the death of their mother, Lolo Joy Unachukwu at 77 years.
Anyanwu reminded him the invaluable role their mother played in the development of Iho Dimeze community in particular, Ikeduru LGA and Imo state at large.
According to him, late Lolo Unachukwu was so active in issues regarding the wellbeing of humanity while alive, regretting that her unassuming contributions to societal development will not be overemphasized.
While urging Hon Unachukwu and his siblings to take solace in the Lord, also prayed God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding, the deceased son, Hon Unachukwu thanked the PDP Guber flag bearer for coming to sympathize with his family, regretting that his mother died when her presence was mostly needed.
He appealed to the party’s standard bearer and those that accompanied him to always remember his family and those their mother left behind in prayers.
Others PDP Chieftains who accompanied him include, Evang Myke Ikoku, Rt Hon Nnaemeka Maduagwu (Firmer Speaker, IMHA), Barr Uche Igbokwe, Hon Chidi Dike, Hon Henry Onwukwe, Chief Ben Duru, and Hon Chuks Ajaelu, amongst others.
