Santa Fe Academy, Works Layout Owerri , Imo State, held its 2026 Graduation and Prize-Giving Ceremony on Saturday, July 25, 2026, marking a historic milestone for the institution.
In her welcome address, the School Administrator, Dr. Cordelia Ezenwa-Adiuku, expressed joy at celebrating the achievements of the learners, particularly the first-ever graduating class of Primary Six — the Class of Limitless Possibilities.
She commended the students for excelling academically and in leadership, noting their successful participation in the Imo State Universal Basic Education Placement Test and the Universal Basic Education Assessment Test.
Dr. Ezenwa-Adiuku praised parents for their support, especially those who allowed their children to complete Primary Six despite the growing trend of rushing learners through school.
She emphasized Santa Fe Academy’s commitment to holistic education, highlighting programmes such as Santa Fe Rhetoric (public speaking, ethics, etiquette), educational clubs, entrepreneurial training, and exposure to Coding and Robotics, with JSS3 learners earning Cisco certifications in Digital Awareness and Cyber Security.
The academic year also featured vibrant events including Santa Fe Cultural Day, Christmas Carol, and participation in global observances like World Diabetes Day and International Day of the Girl Child.
Learners also enjoyed an excursion to Macafran Water Factory, gaining practical knowledge of water purification processes.Looking ahead, Dr. Ezenwa-Adiuku announced that summer classes will run from August 3 to 27, 2026, promising enriching experiences for learners.
She urged parents to continue supporting their wards by ensuring punctuality and active involvement in their academic progress.
Chairperson of the event, Barr. Maryjane Egbuka, expressed delight with the progress of the school, commending management and staff for their dedication.
She urged them to intensify the Montessori demonstration of sounds in teaching nursery learners, emphasizing its importance in laying strong educational foundations.
In a vote of thanks, the school’s proprietor, Mr. Leonard Chinonye Nwaogwugwu, extended deep appreciation to parents for their sacrifices in providing quality education for their children. He prayed that their efforts would yield lasting rewards.
Mr. Nwaogwugwu also lauded the management and staff for their commitment and hard work, assuring that the school would continue to sustain efforts in creating a conducive learning and working environment for both learners and staff.
