The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed dissatisfaction with his political relationship with Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, alleging that the governor has not reciprocated the support he offered him in the past.

Wike made the remarks during a media chat in Port Harcourt, where he also accused the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, of working against him.

Speaking about his relationship with Uzodimma, the former Rivers State governor described it as “strange,” claiming that the Imo governor had failed to support him despite the assistance he said he had previously extended to him.

The comments have added another dimension to the growing political manoeuvring ahead of the 2027 general elections, as relationships among political actors continue to come under scrutiny.

Wike’s remarks, however, represent his own account of the political relationship, and no response from Governor Uzodimma was contained in the report.

The development is likely to attract attention in Imo and beyond, particularly given Uzodimma’s position within the ruling political establishment and the increasing realignment of political interests ahead of 2027.
