Homosexual Decries Threats To Lover’s Life
A young man admitting to be gay and identifying self simply as Obasi has cried out over threats to his same sex lover he called Okwara Modestus Alichukwu whom he alleged banished by his Utochi natives in Orlu, Imo State, for practicing homosexual that was forbidden in their place.
Narrating how he come into huge debt and threat to his own life, Obasi stated inter alia: “I received a call from my childhood friend, Okwara Modestus Alichukwu, on 23rd December 2021 to urgently come to his aid at an address in the locality of his Utochi country home. On reach him, I realized he was held up by some gang of young men for being homosexual and they were demanding ransom before his release.
“After confiding in me how used K-Dating App, Grildr, to meet with his supposed lover that turned captor, he pleaded with me to raise the sum of two million naira ( N2,000,000 ) arrived at after 4 days in their custody; assuring refund once freed.
“Matter has come to head now that my lover, Modestus has gone missing as the gangsters, unable to get him pay more money to them made good their threat to pictures of the gay acts to the natives that gave banishment verdict and death sentence should Modestus venture to return home. Moreover, the gangsters claimed sending the incrementing pictures to the Police for prosecution of my lover whenever he’s arrested in Nigeria where 14 years jail term awaits him on conviction.
“It becomes double jeopardy for me as I, too, got threatened as the blackmailers also picked my naked pictures and phone number from Modestus’ phone they ceased from him. Again, for my lover’s inability to repay the N2 million, the real owner of the money is on my neck ever since. That’s why I stepped out to see how to reach out to my lover, Okwara Modestus Alichukwu, here’s his photo ( handed over pix ), if he happened to see the publication then, he’ll know what to do. There’s danger”, Obasi concluded”.
Asked why he did not alerted the Police while taken the money to the gang, he said he was seriously warned on such and that they did changed their location when came to drop the money; and for taken too long before disclosing the incident, he retorted:
“Our people are not readily disposed to matters concerning homosexual and moreover, I was a target too. I went into hiding dodging the money lender and the gangsters”.
