…Says party on a mission to redeem, reposition Nigeria
Following the viral report in the on plans to form a major alliance of opposition political parties in the media, leadership of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Imo State has debunked the story, adding that such a move is unknown to the national headquarters of the party in Abuja.
In a press statement on Friday, Imo State SDP Chairman, Amb. Dr. Ifeanyi Henry Eluwa denied the news report, adding that those pushing the narrative and linking the Social Democratic Party to such an alliance are not only wicked but are criminals and political jobbers.
“How can Imo State SDP talk of a merger without its national body?”, he queried .
Eluwa disclosed that the party is on a mission to stop the reign of wicked politicians that have pocketed the nation and save the people from the current harsh economic situation of the nation.
“Yes, SDP is on a mission to redeem and reposition Nigeria from the harsh economy and to end wicked politicians who have pocketed Nigeria in their pockets”, he assured.
The Imo SDP Chairman said such mega alliance or merger will come from its National body.
While assuring that SDP is set to unify and reposition the state, Eluwa warned that they will not take it easy with any element who will fabricate stories to ridicule the strength of the party.
He threatened that the SDP may take legal action on who ever goes about to say that it is part of any such alliance or merger for now until the national leadership of SDP gives such directive.
