Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has reiterated her Ministry’s commitment towards empowering women, children, and the vulnerable to achieve greater socio-economic growth in the country.
The Minister made the commitment in an interview with Journalists in Abuja.
Hajiya Imaan Ibrahim assured Nigerians and staff of the Ministry of a new era of progress and brighter days ahead.
According to her, the Ministry will scale up its activities to deliver on the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She explained that the Ministry is working hard to ensure that it has concrete and strategic steps to build a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria for all citizens.
The Minister noted that the Ministry under her leadership would continue to focus on welfare and initiatives that translate into tangible benefits for women, children, families among other vulnerable persons in the country through some empowerment programmes.
Hajiya Imaan Ibrahim also assured staff of the Ministry of strong relationships that will guarantee transparency and a conducive working environment that will bring about greater development.
She noted that the Ministry will continue to deliver on its mandate of proactive approaches to social protection and provision of support to distribute essential relief materials to vulnerable women and zero-tolerance stance on gender-based violence, with the Ministry actively working to strengthen support systems and ensure justice for survivors.
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim solicited support in building a foundation for a future where every Nigerian woman and child can thrive.
She added that plans are on the way to host a strategic retreat for all staff of the Ministry to ensure alignment of its work with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President.
