Consistency is natural instinct every forthright person should be involved in. Not all individuals are conversant with the principle of consistency, but only those with genuine conscience and human feelings in them understand its importance.
Since the registration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 1998 and its take over power in 1999, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has remained loyal and consistent in the building of the party.
In return for his loyalty and consistency in party politics, Senator Anyanwu popularly known as “Samdaddy” was genuinely rewarded with appointment as Transition Committee Chairman of Ikeduru LGA. A position that was widely applauded by the people.
Not only that he was appointed by the then Governor Achike Udenwa owing to his outstanding performance, consistency, loyalty and political dexterity, Anyanwu later won the ticket of the party and subsequently the Executive Chairmanship position of same LGA.
Till date, Senator Anyanwu has remained unshakably glued with the whims and caprices of the party. It is on record that his notable contributions to the growth of PDP is top notch. He is calm and not easily provoked but highly rugged and dogged in the pursuit of a genuine political cause.
A look at notable names that formed part of the establishment of the PDP in 1998, especially in Imo State, only Senator Anyanwu has failed to dump the party even at the highest conviction to exit. Today marks it 27 years PDP was formed, yet Senator Anyanwu has remained greatly committed and genuinely hooked-up with the laid down principles of the party.
How not to rate a genuine, consistent and dedicated party member without using Senator Anyanwu as a case study? Regrettably, politicians have come and gone leaving PDP behind but, only Samdaddy is conscious of ensuring that the party left in his hands does not go into oblivion.
Like a Greek Philosopher says, “politics is a crook sea only the slippery in character can swim”. Senator Anyanwu has redefined the narrative thereby bringing innovations to it. It is trite to posit that out of 80% percent of those currently in the party, only Samdaddy is genuinely working for the galvanization and stability of PDP across the Nigeria. We stand to be quoted!
