There is excitement among media practitioners in Imo State as Governor Hope Uzodimma Media Excellence Awards (GHUME) Committee plans to announce winners and runners-up of the 2023 edition.
In a release signed on behalf of the Committee by Ukana Omon and Unadike William, Chairman and Secretary respectively, it states that the “atmosphere is charged with excitement as the Governor Hope Uzodimma Media Excellence (GHUME) Awards Selection Committee prepares to announce this year’s winners and runners-up on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. This announcement is a significant milestone for journalism and media in Imo State, highlighting those who have distinguished themselves in their craft.
“Following an extensive and thorough selection process, we are poised to recognize the exceptional contributions of our media professionals. These journalists have not only informed and engaged our society but have also raised the bar for excellence in journalism.
“The names of the winners and runners-up will be unveiled on Wednesday, yet the real celebration will occur at the forthcoming awards ceremony. This esteemed event, which will be graced by His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma, will officially present the awards and honor the achievements in a grand setting.
“The GHUME Awards are dedicated to not only acknowledging present accomplishments but also to inspiring the next generation of journalists in Imo State.
