The people of Mbaise in Imo State have unveiled wrappers adopted to be official attire for cultural activities.
Independentvoice.ng, gathered that the said wrappers are distinctive for each of the three local government areas of Mbaise.
The wrappers, which are of different colours were chosen by the leaders of Mbaise.
In their contributions at Iriji Mbaise Cultural Festival at Itu, the Council headquarters of Ezinihitte LGA, the leadership of both Ezuruezu Mbaise and traditional rulers revealed that they have agreed to adopt the wrappers for Ndi Mbaise.
The president of Ezuruezu Mbaise, Sir Surv Joe Anosikeh as well as Chairman of Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze Leo Nwokocha, stressed the importance of the wrappers, which were showcased at the 2025 Iriji Mbaise Cultural festival at Itu.
According to Chief Engr. Ejike Iwu, Onuigbo Ndígbo Gburugburu, the official cultural wrappers for the three LGAs of Mbaise – Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihitte, will be distributed by Ejistainlless harmless Limited.
