The just concluded president General election which took place on Sunday 28, July 2026 at the community primary school Ofekata Orodo in mbaitoli local government has recorded Mr Chinonye Kenneth Ogbonna from Umudim as the winner after polling total votes of 212 to defeat Mr Bernard Uwandu who got 23 votes out of 295 number of voters.
Mr Ogbonna expressed his gratitude towards God for seeing him through and granting them success in the free and credible election process, stating that him and his entire executive will work peacefully with the traditional ruler in making sure that justice prevail and that the voice of the people would also be heard in moving the community to a greater height.

The newly elected Vice President General honourable Steven Agogbuo who polled a total of 180 votes unopposed, during his speech promised that his team will adopt the American system that says “we should think of what they can do for their Community rather than what the people will do for them” and thanked the electorates for finding them worthy to be elected.
His Royal Highness Eze Engineer Marcel Iheanacho Uzegbu the Okata 11 of Ofekata autonomous Community, while addressing the members of his Community in his palace shortly after the election expressed great joy for the peaceful election process and stressed that the long awaited pregnancy has been finally delivered.
He however urged every member of the community to always assist the new leadership with adequate information that will move the community forward rather than causing chaos with side talks.
The mbaitoli local government chairman, honourable Ifunnanya Nwanegbo extolled the electoral officials for a job well done and advised miscreants in the community to desist from bad rumors that are capable of causing conflict in the society. He also prayed to God to use this new leadership to restore peace and order in Ofekata. Also featured with him is the representative from the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs.
The traditional prime minister of Ofekata , Chief Simon Onyekwere, CEO Osiigwe Electronics, maintained that Unity is the only way forward to progress as he pleaded with every member of the community to come together to serve their people joyfully and excellently.
The president General of Ofekata peoples Assembly Abroad, Mr Steven Ononiwu while congratulating the newly elected Executives stated that leadership is a very difficult task but however advised the indigenes of their Community to assist in correcting them rightly so as to profer solution to issues instead of condemning their activities and actions always.
The chairman of the electoral committee, Sir Austin Chukwu thanked God for the success of the election which he described as free, fair and credible. Other newly elected Executives Includes Mr Ejiako jude secretary got a total number of 166 votes, Mr clement Chinedu Assistant secretary got 144 votes, Mr Opke Obijuru Financial Secretary with 152 votes, Mr Onyemere Treasurer 150 votes, Mr Ibe johnbosco PRO 162 votes and Mr Francis Iheanacho Provost 197 votes.
