◾Applaud Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate, Uzomah for championing move
The Coalition of Okigwe Zone Youth Presidents made up of all the Presidents of all the youth bodies in Okigwe Zone Senatorial district met on Saturday, the 2nd of August 2025, at Amaraku Central School where they backed the call made by the Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate that Hon Miriam Onuoha should bury her third term ambition and allow the people of Onuimo Local Government Area to produce the next House of Representatives member for Okigwe North Federal Constituency in 2027.
In a release, the Youth Presidents states as follows;
“1. We the above members of Coalition of Okigwe Zone Youth Presidents kicked against the third term ambition of Miriam Onuoha in 2027.
“2. We also condemned in it’s entirety the desperation at which Miriam Onuoha is pursuing her third term agenda.
“3. We want Miriam Onuoha to know that the Okigwe North Federal Constituency seat is not her birth right.
“4. Miriam Onuoha should be made to understand that she’s not the only person in Okigwe North Federal Constituency.
“5. We are in total support for Onuimo Local Government to produce the next House of Representatives member for Okigwe North Federal Constituency in 2027 for equity, fairness and natural justice.
“6. We want Miriam Onuoha to tell us the crime the people of Onuimo has committed that will warrant her to deny them the opportunity to begin the second phase of the House of Representatives for Okigwe North Federal Constituency in 2027.
“7. How long will Onuimo Local Government continue to wait? It will be twenty solid years in 2027, when Rt. Hon. Mike Ohia completed the first phase of Onuimo Local Government, while, Miriam Onuoha will be twelve years at the green chamber of the National Assembly if she succeeds in her third missionary journey.
“8. We therefore use this medium to let Miriam Onuoha to know that the people of Onuimo Local Government have men and women with proven integrity that will offer Okigwe North Federal Constituency quality and effective representations at the National Assembly.
“9. We call on the critical stakeholders, Traditional rulers and religious leaders to beckon on Miriam Onuoha to bury her third agenda in Okigwe North Federal Constituency in 2027 for the sake of equity and all inclusiveness.
“10. We want Miriam Onuoha to work and support Onuimo Local Government to produce the next House Rep. Member for Okigwe North Federal Constituency in 2027 as a pay back gift for supporting her in 2020 against Rt. Hon. Obinna Onwubuariri.
“11. We call on the youths, our leaders, men and women, non- indigenes and Miriam Onuoha to abide by this resolutions, so that together, we can build the Okigwe Zone of our collective dreams devoid of rancor and acrimony”.
