NAWOJ commends South East NUJ for honouring past National President, Isiguzo

The Comrades Amaka Agbo led Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ, South East, has applauded  Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku led South East Zone of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) for organizing a homecoming in honour of immediate past National President,  Chief Dr Chris Isiguzo MFR.

South East NAWOJ gave the commendation in a Communique after her Zonal Executive Council (ZEC) meeting last Friday in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, which was signed by the Zonal Secretary, Doris Chioma Alex. Part of the communique reads:

“The South East Zonal Executive Council (ZEC) of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) held its statutory meeting on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.

“At the end of extensive deliberations on issues affecting the association, the media industry, and the region at large, the following resolutions were adopted:

“The South East Zonal Executive Council commended the South East leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) for organizing a memorable homecoming in honour of Chief Chris Isiguzo, former National President of the NUJ.

“The event was seen as a symbol of unity and recognition of outstanding service”.
