Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is visiting Imo State to commission some of the landmark projects completed under his administration.

The Governor made this known during an interdenominational thanksgiving service held at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

According to him, the President will on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, officially commission the newly reconstructed Mbaise-Umuahia Road, the iconic Control-Assumpta twin flyover, and the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC), describing them as legacy projects that have changed the face of the state’s infrastructure.

Governor Uzodimma urged Imo people to come out in large numbers to give the President a rousing welcome, stressing that the visit will not only strengthen the bond between Imo and the Federal Government but also highlight the progress made by his administration in delivering quality infrastructure.

He further noted that President Tinubu’s presence in the state will serve as a testament to the Federal Government’s support for developmental strides in Imo, while assuring that more people-oriented projects are in the pipeline.

With the scheduled visit, anticipation is already high across the state as residents prepare to receive the nation’s number one citizen.
