A Labour Party aspirant for the Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency, Chidiebere Darlington Anyanwu, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat, promising to champion the interests of neglected youths and ordinary people in the constituency.
Anyanwu, popularly known as “CHYDON,” made the declaration in a message addressed to constituents, where he said his ambition was driven by the desire to serve as “the voice of the people” rather than merely occupy political office.
According to him, many residents of the constituency have felt abandoned, cheated, and sidelined over the years, especially young people whose contributions and energy, he said, have not been adequately recognized in governance.
The Labour Party aspirant stated that the time had come for a new generation of leaders to emerge and take responsibility for rebuilding the constituency, while elders provide guidance and support.
“I am not running simply to hold an office; I am running to be your servant and your voice,” he said, adding that he understands the frustrations and struggles of the people because he shares in their experiences.
Anyanwu further pledged to transform the constituency’s resources into tangible prosperity for residents, emphasizing accessibility, reliability, and people-centered leadership.
He urged constituents, particularly youths, to become actively involved in shaping the political future of the area, stressing that the people of Ahiazu/Ezinihitte are “not weak or voiceless” but a courageous force capable of driving positive change.
The aspirant also expressed optimism that a “new and prosperous Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency” is achievable through collective effort and visionary leadership.
