The member representing Ezinihitte Mbase State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Dr Henry Agbasonu, has kick-started rehabilitation works on some rural roads in his Constituency.
In a statement from Odoemene Onyedikachi Placid, a Senior Special Assistant on Information and Strategy, the Legislator “believes in public sanity and human capital development. The captain of Ezinihitte Mbaise State Constituency, our man and brother Hon. Dr. Henry Agbasonu has concurred with the popular opinion to extend the ongoing Constituency roads rehabilitation project to other places strategically and otherwise located in the heart of the town.
“Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA Council has responded to the clarion call which our son the Honourable Member moved through a motion on the floor of the House for government’s intervention on major access roads leading to our various communities.
“The good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise indeed have suffered so much on bad roads and neglect in recent years which continued unabated before Hon. Henry Agbasonu took over to change the narrative”.
The lawmaker has assured that extended remedial work will soon commence at Okpuala Okpofe – Itu road leading to Nkwo Mbaise Market, the Economic Hub of Mbaise and its environs.
Other road mapped out for remedial work is the Umuoma Okpofe – Itu road leading to Ezinihitte Mbaise Council Headquarters, Itu.
The Brofab Schools road in Umuoma Okpofe also leading to Nkwo Mbaise will be worked on under this remedial action taken to ameliorate the hardship people go through on these roads during rainy season.
Also in the list is Onicha Nwenkwo road from Ekeoha, which is considered for the ongoing remedial work in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA.
According to the statement, all closed drainage systems are to be reopened for controlling heavy flood along the areas connecting Okpofe, Eziagbogu, Eziudo, Onicha, Itu and Amumara.
