From Chinedu Ohanukachukwu

Today’s Christians have been charged by a fiery cleric, Evangelist Ebere Emereuwa, not to deviate from following the original ways of worship in their fellowship and not to dilute the Word of God to suit their sentiments and emotions. Evang Emereuwa subsequently explained such pitfalls, deviations, misinterpretions even as he called the perpetrators to desist and repent so as to find God’s favour and blessings.
Excerpts:
Dress Distraction
“Can the pastor or preacher know more than his/her Creator? Why do the leaders of Church congregations give distracting or distorted translations to their dresses/attires? Why call priests’ wears surtan, suit or coat which is European or American translation’s of men that’s not scriptural. But the original robe of the priest was outlined in the scripture such as in Lev 21:10, Exo 19:5, Lev 16:1 – down, Exo 35:19 and 1Pet 2:10.

Friendship With The World

“Where do all the fightings and quarreling among the Christians come from? It results from their desire for pleasure and self aggrandizement. You want to have something but cannot get it. This your strong desire then push you to even kill to achieve your goals. You failed to genuinely get what you desire for not asking from the rightful owner, God; or failed to receive it when you asked with wrong motives. You only asked for things to use for your own pleasure. The unfaithful do not know that to be friends with the world means to be God’s enemy. Reflect seriously over the scripture that says that says the Spirit God placed in us filled with fierce desires but the grace God gives is even stronger as God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. So, resist the devil and his agents and they will flew from you. Sinners, purify your hearts; hypocrites be sorrowful, change your laughter into crying, your joy into gloom. Humble yourselves before the LORD and I will lift you up Jam 4:1- down.

Fear Of The LORD

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. And the fear of God is the message of our Messiah, Jesus Christ, the first and the last, who lived, died and resurrected to live forever. He opens and nobody closes. And closes and nobody opens. He’s the one to be feared because He can killed both the body and the soul. Not the occultic or witch doctors who can kill only the body and not the soul. Recall the Job’s episode in the scripture… Just persevere. Jesus says those that win the victory will be with Him in His throne Rev 3:7-8, Rev 3:21. The LORD, God Almighty, our saviour and redeemer, You are worthy to receive the glory, honour and power Rev 4:8-11.

Covering Head At Worship

“Christians should not deviate from the right ways of worshipping in public places to suit their sentiments and emotions. A man who prays or proclaims God’s message in public worship with his head covered disgraces Christ, and any woman who prays or proclaims God’s message in public worship without covering her head disgraces her husband. If the woman does not cover her head, she might as well cut or shave her hair. Since it’s a shameful thing for a woman to cut or shave, therefore, she should cover her head while preaching God’s message even as a man has no need to cover his head because he reflects the image and glory of God. And man was not created from a woman but a woman was created for man’s sake 1Cor 11:4-10.

Need For Righteous Leaders
“When the righteous leaders are on the throne, their citizens rejoice even as their nation prospers. But when sinners rules, their subjects suffer. When a nation sins, it will have rulers after rulers that would bring untold hardship on their people. But a nation will be strong and endure when it has intelligent sensible leaders Prov 28:2.
Show me a righteous ruler and I’ll show you a happy people. Show me a wicked ruler and I’ll show a miserable people Prov 29:2. A man in authority who oppresses the poor people is like a driving rain that destroys the crops. If you have no regards the law, you’re on the side of the wicked. But if you obey it, you’re against them Prov 28:4.

Evil Of Injustice

“Evils abound in the society because those in power and authority disregard laws that would’ve guarantee justice, orderliness, peace and fairness. Evil –
minded people do not know what justice is all about. But those who genuinely worship the true God understand justice better. A young man who obeys the law is intelligent. One who makes friends with good for nothings is a disgrace to the father Prov 28:7. If you don’t obey the law then, God will find your prayers too hateful to hear. If you trick an honest man into doing evil then, you’ll fall into your own trap. The innocent will be well rewarded Prov 28:10. When good men come to power everybody celebrates, but when bad men rule, people stay in hiding.

Sin As Reproach

“Hear me, you’ll never succeed in life trying to cover your sins. So, confess and give up on sins. Then, God will show mercy to you Prov 28:13. A ruler without good sense will be cruel tyrant. One who hates dishonesty will rule a long time. Honest people will lead fools. Live a happy life but if you’re in a hurry to get rich, you’re going to be punished Prov 28: 20. Give to the poor and you’ll never be in need. But if you close your eyes to the plights of the poor then, many people will curse you Prov 28:27.
“Finally, stay safe and follow the teachings of wiser people. If you appreciate wisdom then, your father will be proud of you. It’s foolish waste to spend money on prostitutes Prov 29:3. It’s not too late to repent and retreat
with the Urgency of Now! Get closer to God for God to be closer to you. Tomorrow may be too late as there’s no repentance in the grave. You’ll have yourself to blame if you miss heaven and for making hell your eternal habitat Mk 9:45, Is 66:23 – 24. A word is enough for the wise”, Emereuwa, fondly called Nwoke Alanso, concluded emphatically.
