◾Calls for Support to Rebuild Imo
The Chairperson of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), Imo State Chapter, Uchebuakor Prudence, has congratulated fathers and father figures across Imo State on the occasion of the 2026 Father’s Day celebration, commending their sacrifices, resilience and contributions to family and societal development.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the organisation, she described fathers as key builders of strong homes and a better society, noting that their influence remains vital in shaping the future of the state and the nation.
Uchebuakor urged fathers to remain conscious of the long-term impact of their decisions and called on them to support the Democratic Leadership Alliance’s vision of rebuilding and repositioning Imo State and Nigeria through equity, justice and sustainable development.
She stressed the need for a society where education prepares children for global competitiveness and where citizens enjoy security, prosperity and opportunity.
Meanwhile, St Barnabas Anglican Church, Orji, in Owerri, honoured Uchebuakor Prudence with an Award of Honour as God’s Kingdom Builder during its Father’s Day celebration in recognition of her contributions and service.
