Continuing, he said his aspiration is an answer to the call of his people to come and proffer solutions to the challenges facing the LG.
He decried the spate of insecurity in Ihitte Uboma, adding that a local government that is the food basket of the state has nothing to show for it due to insecurity.

Accordingly, he promised to get security agencies effectively back to the LGA as a first step toward repositioning the Area.
The former aide to late Senator Ben Uwajumogu expressed confidence that he will pick the ticket of the LG chairmanship for APC, stressing that he has always been a grassroots driven person who had built a relationship with the people and various key stakeholders.
On zoning the political positions in the local government area, Hon Nwokeiwu said it has been a practice that is generally accepted by all including traditional rulers and political stakeholders in Ihitte Uboma LGA.
He disclosed that the two positions zones are the House of Assembly seat and the LG chairmanship, adding that if Ihitte clan is occupying one of the positions then Uboma will take the other.
The SSA on Public Relations to the current Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, said the LGA chairmanship is the turn of Umuihi Community in Ihitte clan, disclosing that the other community that has not had a turn at the position is Atonerim Community, which took the last House of Assembly slot for the last House in the person of Hon Micheal Onyemachi Crown.
Nwokeiwu revealed that it is God that gives power and that if it’s His will that he will not be the chairman, that he will support whoever that emerges, adding that politics is not a do-or-die affair.
He advised all political actors, especially those aspiring for the LG chairmanship to play the game as brothers with love, unity and peace.
“Only one person will emerge as the Chairman of the LGA and all should support the person. There is life after elections”, Engr Nwokeiwu advised.
