The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Imo State has embarked on prayers as a prelude to its governorship campaigns across the local government areas of the state.
According to the party’s programme, there will be prayer sessions to kick off gubernatorial campaign in the 27 local government areas of the state, in order to seek the face of God for violence free election.
Disclosing this to our correspondent during the party’s first prayer meeting in Owerri, the SDP governorship candidate, Hon Obinna Bright Ekwebelem, revealed that the prayer session was in keeping with their belief, faith and trust in God for the ‘Take Back Imo Project’ Campaign Organization in order to achieve the expected victory in November 11, 2023.
He stressed the need to acknowledge God in everything, and urged SDP members to ensure they set up 1000 prayer teams at ward, LGA and state levels, to intercede for Imo State, adding that with God all things in the gubernatorial race.
Ekwebelem said, “if I become the Governor of Imo State, I will never forsake the work of God” even as he urged Imo people to support SDP and vote for him to enable him win November 11 gubernatorial election.
