Imo Speaker, Olemgbe solicits cooperation among Assembly staff

Members of the management staff of the Imo State House of Assembly have been urged to exhibit mutual understanding and cooperation with one another is the discharge of their duties.

Addressing members of the management staff of the House of Assembly during a reception they held for him at the Assembly complex, Owerri, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe thanked the Clerk, Staff and Management of the House for the warm reception.

He commended the members of the Assembly management for their orderly conduct, while urging them to give maximum co-operation to members of his support staff in the discharge of their duties.

According to Rt Hon Olemgbe, since The speaker posited that since the ultimate goal of the legislative house is to render quality service to Imo people, through lawmaking, oversight, appropriation and collaboration with the Executive in implementing the vision of the 3-R Administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, there should be mutual understanding and cooperation among all categories of Staff within the Assembly complex.

The House of Assembly Clerk and Head of Legislative Services, Barr Mrs Chinelo Emeghara expressed happiness, excitement and willingness of her management team to work hard-in-glove with Rt.Hon. Olemgbe and members of the Speaker’s operational staff.

Barr Emeghara, congratulated Rt Hon Olemgbe on his emergence and successful inauguration as the Speaker of the 10th Assembly, assuring him of support and cooperation of staff and management of the House.

The Clerk further expressed optimism that the legislative house would attain a height of excellence under the new leadership.

Director of Accounts in the Assembly, Mr. Igiri Humphrey in a vote of thanks, commended Rt Hon Olemgbe for promptly constituting his support staff shortly after his inauguration as the Speaker of the House.

Igiri said described the constitution of the Speaker’s staff as an indication of his readiness and capability to shoulder responsibilities as Speaker of the 10th Assembly in Imo.

He prayed God to sustain and guide the Speaker in the discharge of his duties as the number one lawmaker in the State.

Hon Henry Agbasonu, and Hon Vitalis Azodo representing Ezinihitte Mbaise and Ideato South State Constituencies in addition to the Sole Administrator of Ihitte-Uboma local Government Area, Barr. Uche konkwo were present during the reception.
