The Social Democratic Party, SDP, has lampooned one Ben Anochie over a media report that state, local government and ward officials have resigned and defected to another political party.
Addressing journalists in Owerri, Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon Kingsley Ekezie wondered why the said “Anochie who was said to have abandoned his office for almost one year, is busy trying to build clout in his new found love -NNPP.
“Where was Anochie when SDP conducted party primaries last year and even during the elections. Can he recognize all know the candidates that flew the flag of the party for the various Constituencies across the state since he claims to have been a former Secretary?
“All the structures of SDP are intact from the LGAs to the wards. The party is already consulting with various stakeholders at the grassroots as our governorship candidate, Hon Obinna Bright Ekwebelem is the next choice of the teeming Imo youths for the November 11 election.
“Anochie is shameless because he is playing the script of the long suspended former Chairman, Prince Marshall Okaforanyanwu to gain attention in the NNPP.
“We advise Anochie and his co-travellers in this lane of infamy, to leave SDP along and prove their political value in their new party.
“Anochie and those who want to build political clout with SDP should know that the party had already rebranded with a Caretaker executives at the state level led by Hon Ifeanyi Henry Eluwa”.
