…As group collapses structures into SDP
As Imo citizens eagerly await the off-season governorship election slated to hold on November 11, 2023, a political support group in the state, Imo Mandate Group for Good Governance, has disclosed that Hon Obinna Bright Ekwebelem is the man with the right answers to the many challenges facing the state.
The group made this disclosure recently when it adopted the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Hon Ekwebelem in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
Moving further in its conviction about the capacity and capability of the SDP candidate for the highest political office in the state, the leadership of Imo Mandate for Good Governance also met with Hon Ekwebelem where it indicated interest to collapse fully into the party’s campaign structure.

Leader of the Imo Mandate group’s delegation, Hon Ekezie informed newsmen that they have come to queue behind the SDP Candidate.
According to him: “We are here to formally register our willingness to join and be integrated into the campaign team of the Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party”.
Imo SDP Chairman, Ambassador Henry Ifeanyi Eluwa, while welcoming the support group into the party, assured them of the party’s deasire to draw new and dedicated members who have the burning desire to help deliver Imo from the shackles of crude and selfish politicians.
Also in his own remarks, Convener of ObiBrightMovement, #LetTheYouthsBreathe, Tony Anyakoha in his speech welcomed the Imo Mandate Group for Good Governance into the SDP.

He enjoined members of the group to the ObiBright Movement, stressing that it is a vehicle that is conveying Imo Youths and citizens in general to realize “the Imo State we can be proud of”.
Anyakoha urged them to bring to bear their invaluable ideas that will help in the development of the state.
In his reaction, the visibly elated standard bearer of the SDP for Governorship election, Hon Obinna Bright Ekwebelem thanked the group for finding him worthy to serve as the next governor of the state.
He promised to redouble his efforts in working the talk, while re-enforcing his commitment to enthrone “an all inclusive government where the system will be respected, the rule of law followed to the latter and the people will have a feel of Governance once more in Imo”.
