Following the appointment of Mr Muhammad Shehu Lawal (Molash) as the chief press secretary to the Kaduna State Governor -Elect,Dr Uba Sani, the Kaduna state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed satisfaction over the development.
In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman and Secretary, Comrades Asma’u Yawo Halilu and Gambo Santos Sanga respectively, the union also expressed confidence in the ability and capacity of Mr Muhammad Shehu Lawal(molash) to carry everyone along in the journey of re-branding and reengineering of the new egalitarian Kaduna State under Dr Uba Sani.
The statement however charged the new media scribe to bring to bear his intellectual prowess, professional ethics and values with a view to giving a sense of belonging to all sections of the media operating in Kaduna state and the country.
The Kaduna State council of NUJ further enjoined members of the union as well as relevant stakeholders in the media industry to rally round and support the new press secretary in the noble task ahead so as to guarantee a virile platform for a synergy of purpose between government and the media to thrive,especially on the promotion of peace, unity and development across the state.
It prayed for a successful and eventful working relationship with the incoming APC administration in kaduna state for socioeconomic and political prosperity among the citizenry.
