A former TC Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon Bob Anyanwu, has described himself as the leading aspirant for the LGA election scheduled to take place across the 27 Councils.

In a media chat with independentvoice.ng recently, Hon Anyanwu who is gunning to be elected executive chairman of the LGA on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, disclosed that he has garnered enough experience and knows the issues at stake for Ezinihitte Mbaise to move forward.

According to him; “I am the leading aspirant. No aspirant on APC platform that is more qualified than me in all ramifications. Experience and otherwise. The few that can say to have the political exposure to challenge me are all above 70 years of age. But you know is not all about that, many things are involved”.

He stated that he will tackle issues such as security, agriculture, education and healthcare among others.

Hear him: “Due to long absence of functional local government administration, there are a lot of problems that I have identified and pencilled down to give attention to. But there are ones that will require immediate attention.

“The face of the LGA headquarters must be changed. Charity begins at home. It looks outdated

“Ezinihitte has about 18 health centres, but less than 4 of them are about 50% functional. This I will change with experiences and contacts I got. Our people must at least get good minimum health care.

“I will use my experiences in security welfare to reorganise the security system of the LGA to stand up to current challenges.

“Farmers and those in agricultural production business will be my serious partners. Because we need to encourage people into the business to create jobs and make food stuff available

“Our primary education system in the locals are dieing and we need to do the needful”.

On the limitations to the performance of a TC Chairman, Hon Anyanwu said: “as a TC Chairman, which is a political appointment, you are limited. Infact you are not recognised by law to execute any major project, except as directed by your principal. So you can only do as directed by the governor. So if you are not directed to do anything, then you can’t do anything. You have no right to initiate and execute anything. But with executive powers, it is different”.

Hon. Anyanwu said who is the Managing Director of Robert klass Limited, has held positions such as former Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA coordinator Agency for New Partnership for African Development ( NEPAD), former Principal Officer (PO) to the governor of Imo state on Imo Community watch (ICW), poineer Deputy chairman of APC Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Director General Agenda youths, member board of Imo directorate of employment and board member (youth representative) IMO COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (world bank assisted) IMO CSDP.

He is at present the Imo State Coordinator SHARED PROSPERITY YOUTH MOVEMENT.
