The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter, recently concluded its significant achievement in the Agricultural Youth Empowerment 101 program.

According to a release by the Media Directorate, NYCN under the leadership of Chairman, Comr. Akuchie Stephen, has officially certified over 85 trained youths who successfully completed the program.

“This initiative underscores the council’s commitment to equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the agricultural sector.

“The certification process was rigorous, with participants being assessed based on their consistency and performance in exams. Those who achieved good grades were awarded certificates, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

“This achievement not only validates their efforts but also positions them to make meaningful contributions to the agricultural landscape in Imo State and beyond.

“Participants who scored lower grades were given a second chance, recommended to repeat the training with the second batch. This approach reflects the council’s commitment to inclusivity and its determination to support all youths in achieving their full potential”, the release stated.

Comr. Akuchie Stephen encouraged the certified youths to leverage their newfound skills and knowledge to start their own agri-businesses.

He urged them to seek loans and other forms of support to turn their agricultural aspirations into reality.

“The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter, remains committed to youth development and empowerment. Through initiatives like the Agricultural Youth Empowerment program, the council is shaping the future of young people in the state. By providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed, the council is helping to build a more prosperous and sustainable future for Imo State and Nigeria”, the release concluded.
