“We are most grateful to Almighty God, maker of Heaven and Earth, for His grace and favours, which enabled us to visit the holy land of Jordan and Israel.
“The words and teachings of the Bible have been made real in our lives as we walked the paths that our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ walked on while on earth”.
The above were the words of the delegates for the 2025 Christian Pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel, who expressed gratitude to God for the awesome spiritual experience.
In the statement made available to the media, which was signed by Hon Chief Ezechukwu Obonna (Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Narcotics and Illicit Drugs), Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku (Vice President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ), Chikadibia Ekechukwu (ADC to Controller of Correctional Service Imo State Command) and Uchechi Odibo, delegates from Udo na Obizi ward, Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Imo State, they equally thanked the Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, for his sponsorship of the highest number of pilgrims per state in Nigeria.
According to the pilgrims; “Governor Uzodimma’s large heart to give many the opportunity to experience spiritual rebirth in the holy land, is quite appreciated.
“We are grateful to the Imo State Governor for this opportunity that God has used him to provide for 1000 Imo citizens. May God bless him for his sponsorship.
“We pray God to bless the governor and his family and enable him sustain this magnanimity for others to also benefit next year”.
It will be recalled that Imo State Governor, Sen. Uzodimma sponsored 1000 pilgrims to the holy land in 2023.
