The Udo People’s Assembly Women’s Wing in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA of Imo State, has announced plans for its 2026 August Prayer Meeting, scheduled to hold from August 10 to 12, 2026, with women from Udo community, both at home and abroad, expected to participate.
According to a release signed by the President-General of the Udo People’s Assembly Women’s Wing, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Ogbonna, the programme will feature general conquest prayer sessions on August 10 and 11, while the activities will culminate in a grand finale on August 12.
The release stated that women resident in Udo will gather every morning at their respective village squares and civic centres for the prayer sessions. Women who are unable to travel to the community will participate from designated venues in their various towns, joining their counterparts in Udo in prayers for the wellbeing of the community.
Among the major prayer points are divine healing and peace for Udo, protection against premature death, and the opening of opportunities for the citizens of Udo. Participants will also be allowed to present additional prayer requests at individual, village and branch levels.
The grand finale on August 12 will feature praise, worship and thanksgiving, with the women, expressing gratitude to God for His protection of community members, traditional institutions and governance structures.
The organisers said the finale would also feature speeches by selected guests and speakers, traditional displays and dances, as well as the distribution of palliatives to home-based women.
The organising committee further assured participants of adequate security and logistics arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free programme, stressing that Udo remains a land of peace and peaceful people.
